Eleanor Roosevelt Knit-In
Sunday, May 2, 2010

The Town of Hyde Park Historical Society is currently accepting reservations for our third annual "Eleanor Roosevelt Knit-In" on Sunday, May 2, 2010. The event will be held at the Henry A. Wallace Conference and Visitor's Center at the FDR Presidential Library, Route 9, Hyde Park, NY from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Participants will knit or crochet acrylic yarn blocks 7" x 9" that will be assembled into afghans for "Warm Up America," a project where finished afghans are donated to local non-profit charitable organizations. Attendees are also welcomed who do not knit or crochet, but would like to enjoy this historical event.

There will be an appearance by "Eleanor," Roosevelt films, a free pass to the FDR Library the day of the event, and light refreshments. Reservations are required by sending a check made out to the Town of Hyde Park Historical Society, P. O. Box 182, Hyde Park, NY 12538-0182 for $15/person before April 25th. Please include name(s), address, phone #, and email address. This is a very popular event, so early reservations are suggested. No tickets will be issued, however, there will be a reservation list at the door.
